Humidity testing reduces the risk of product failure in the field by simulating the humidity conditions that products are exposed to during their lifetime. The test specification defines the applied humidity and test conditions, this may be a condensing test, where temperature and humidity cycle is performed precipitating condensation onto the sample, or a non condensing test where humidity is present in the air but does not cause condensation to form.
TÜV SÜD has the capability to test at humidity levels between 5% rh and 98% rh at various temperatures. Testing is performed in climatic chambers ranging in size from a small desk top chamber up to a 120 m³ drive-In chamber.
The laminar airflow within the climatic chambers ensures that a uniform humidity distribution is achieved throughout the entire volume of the chamber.
