Get an insight into what is involved in attaining Cyber Essentials certification for your business.
Cyber attacks against companies’ systems are on the increase – 25% of UK businesses experienced a cyber attack in the last 12 months. The UK Government’s National Cyber Security Strategy is a series of measures designed to make conducting business online in the UK safer and more transparent. A key part of this strategy is the Cyber Essentials scheme. Developed by the UK Government as a national standard, Cyber Essentials certification demonstrates that an organisation has taken steps to ensure the security of its IT infrastructure.
TUV SUD’s free webinar, hosted by UK Group IT Manager Peter Bottomley, will give you an overview of the Cyber Essentials standard from the perspective of someone who has been through the assessment and certification process themselves, as well as from the perspective of an accredited Certification Body.
Key topics that will be covered:
The cyber threat – the nature of the threat and how it affects your business
Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus – an overview of the standard
The certification process – what is involved and how to prepare
GDPR – how the new data protection regulations will affect you and how Cyber Essentials certification will help you prepare for the changes
