TÜV SÜD Dunbar Boardman sponsored the Informal Dinner and Late Bar at the Association of University Engineers (AUE) Annual Conference, earlier this month. Phil Mantey and Brian Manning represented TÜV SÜD Dunbar Boardman at the event.
Phil Mantey stated: 'We were delighted to be a part of this significant event, as it provided a unique opportunity to engage directly with our engineering colleagues from universities from across the UK.'

The conference, hosted by Solent University, covered a number of tangible issues that affect estate management. The focus was on 'Managing a Compliant Estate' with a programme which featured key insights into providing cost-effective operations and maintenance services, managing the risks of varied and complex estates, whilst maintaining compliance across many aspects of estate management.
"TÜV SÜD's building services and vertical transportation consultancies have a wealth of experience across the Higher Education sector," said Phil Mantey. "We are engaging with the key stakeholders early in the process to help understand their requirements and aspirations of the University estate. By collaborating and sharing our expertise in lift replacement, this will ensure minimum disruption to the learning process within the Universities whilst work is being undertaken."
Brian Manning added: "Sponsorship of the Dinner and Late Bar at this event gave us a platform to speak with University Engineers in a fun and informal environment. The delegates were able to find out first-hand about their legal obligations with respect to lifts, and subsequently gain an understanding of the proven solutions that we can offer Universities."
