Come along to a workshop with a difference!
Join TÜV SÜD on Tuesday 13th November in Glasgow for our unique Machinery workshop. The workshop will initially be providing information on how to comply with the requirements of PUWER, followed by a unique open floor discussion on all aspects of machinery safety ranging from EMC testing in situ to BREXIT safeguards.
The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations are the responsibility of the employer to implement at their workplace. It is derived from the Use of Work Equipment Directive and is implemented into UK law by this Regulation. It is better to have conducted an Inspection under Regulation 6 to identify potential unsafe equipment and formula an action plan, rather than not do anything and claim ignorance. PUWER applies to all work equipment regardless of age. There can be no excuse for not having a safe place of work for your employees.
Machinery Safety isn’t just confined to PUWER. Rather than being rigidly structured to cover only a couple of subjects, the second part of the workshop will be guided by you!
The floor will be opened to accept questions on several machinery safety subjects, such as, but not limited to, CE marking to the Machinery Directive, NRTL Services for North American markets, EMC testing on site, CEMFAW Regulations, potential effects of Brexit on PUWER and CE marking machinery. This is your opportunity to be guided by our experts on factors that affect your business and workplace.
