TÜV SÜD Wallace Whittle were appointed on this unique project as MEP and Sustainability Consultants on this listed, façade retention, Public House refurbishment, to a superb newly constructed dwelling with cutting design.
Spread over seven levels this high-end, luxury residence in Mayfair boasts fantastic entertaining spaces such as Swimming Pool, Cinema, Games Room, Gymnasium, Sauna, Steam Room and Roof Terraces, yet had stringent energy targets to achieve.
Energy efficient technology including Low N0x condensing Boilers, Micro CHP equipment, Heat Recovery Ventilation, Air Source Heat Pumps were all included in the scheme, as well as passive design measures such as maximising the use of natural ventilation and daylight, solar shading, increase air tightness, enhanced U values were employed to reduce the energy consumption and CO2 emissions. These measures reduced the annual energy consumption and CO2 emissions for the development beyond the standards required by Part L of the
Building Regulations by 10%.
The project also includes a 4 Person Passenger Lift, Control 4 Home Automation Technology, Lutron Lighting Technology, iPod docking stations and iPad controls, underfloor heating, comfort cooling, Video entry / CCTV system and remote control blinds etc.
