The Client, working with Wallace Whittle, proposed a facility which allowed data centre operators to co-locate. As opposed to co-location, the concept was to allow each operator to run their own facility using their preferred solution. The shell design had to be sufficiently flexible to allow future operators the scope to implement their requirements, including free cooling and fresh air cooling.
The design was based on Tier III. The project also involved a tender to deliver a 33/11kV 24MVA Primary Substation.
DataVita is the first tenant and the design for the Phase 1 fit out has now been completed and Uptime Institute certified.
