The new £55M Scottish Power headquarters will be located on the corner of St Vincent Street and Newton Street, currently a derelict site, which used to home Strathclyde Regional Council HQ.
The redevelopment of this land will see home to a 220,000ft, 14 storey office block which will bring together other surrounding offices from Cathcart, Yoker and other like regional offices.
The office development will home approximately 1900 staff within 220,000 sq ft. over a total of 14 floors, including 2 basement levels.
Utilising the latest integrated environmental solutions package the building has been modeled and currently achieves a Scottish EPC Asset rating of ‘B’ and with an intended BREEAM target of Excellent the model achieves 11 credits in the ENE 2 energy section, making it extremely carbon efficient.
The works have commenced on site and the project is due to be completed by 2015.
