Have you heard the latest news that recently EN 60950-1 (Information technology equipment) and EN 60065-1 (Audio, video and similar electronic apparatus) have now been withdrawn from the LVD Directive official journal? It’s something that we were all anticipating as these standards are being replaced by EN 62368-1 Audio/video, information and communication technology equipment.
However, some interesting news is that the extension date that you can now use these standards as a presumption of conformity is 20th December 2020. Do you have your phased transition plan in place? Don’t let it catch you off guard contact us!
There are many subtle differences in the transition from EN 60950 & EN 60065 to EN 62368 you will need to be aware of, some may require additional testing to be conducted.
