A recent visit by advisors from Oil and Gas UK has highlighted opportunities for future collaboration, particularly in the development of policy.
Rebecca Groundwater, External Affairs Advisor, and Matthew Abraham, Supply Chain and HSE Director, visited NEL in November to find out more about our work and the new Advanced Multiphase Facility. They met with key management, including Managing Director, Brian Millington, and discussed recent developments in the industry and future trends.
Matt Abraham said: “The team at TUV SUD NEL are leading the world in multiphase flow metering calibration and it was great to hear more about their work on our recent visit. Oil & Gas UK is proud to champion the UK offshore oil and gas industry’s supply chain, spread the length and breadth of the country and renowned globally for its expertise and capabilities.
“Through industry’s shared ambition for the future, Vision 2035, we are working to expand the supply chain’s share of global exports and ultimately realise a multi-billion-pound opportunity for the sector. At the heart of this effort are the talents of companies like TUV SUD NEL.”
“NEL is a long-term member of Oil & Gas UK and this was an exciting opportunity to enhance our involvement in its work,” says Brian. “We talked about how NEL could help Oil and Gas UK extend its reach across the UK and how we could raise our profile with its members. We also discussed how we could support the group in its policy development work, including our participation in some of the cross party parliamentary groups that Oil & Gas UK is part of.”
