TUV SUD NEL’s Erosive Flow Centre provides a complete range of sand erosion tests. Independent tests can be performed on a wide range of equipment and components under controlled conditions. In addition, we have extensive capability to use Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to predict high erosion areas (hot spots) and erosion rates. By modelling a range of expected field operating conditions, the wear-life of equipment or components can be assessed.
By combining erosion modelling with the Erosive Flow Centre’s test capabilities, we can validate erosion model results and provide clients with greater confidence in erosion life predictions.
