Harry Completes Fire Walk for Maggies Centre Charity
Walking across fire isn't your everyday event, but as TÜV SÜD NEL Test Engineer Harry Clark proved recently, with the correct inspiration, you can achieve anything!
Alongside his Mum Fiona, Harry recently walked across burning hot coals in support of his local Maggies Centre Lanarkshire, in the grounds of Monklands Hospital, raising in the region of £800 for the charity. TÜV SÜD and its staff dug deep for this cause, contributing towards the final amount raised.
"I did it to give back to Maggies Centre who gave support to my Mum during her treatment for breast cancer. They rely completely on donations, so I wanted to do my part to help raise some funds from them." said Harry.
Harry also recently completed his apprenticeship programme with TÜV SÜD NEL, being rewarded with a full-time position of Test Engineer within the EPAT programme.
With 20 Centres at major NHS cancer hospitals in the UK and abroad, Maggie’s provides free practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer and their family and friends, following the ideas about cancer care originally laid out by Maggie Keswick Jencks.
